It was a simple case of operator error, but glitches discovered this week on the federal government's stimulus money tracking web site gave skeptics plenty of ammo.
Second District Congressman John Kline, a Lakeville Republican, seized on the error with a press release that questioned the credibility of the Obama administration's recovery effort.
"Where are the jobs?" read the banner headline on Kline's Wednesday missive, "White House's answer? In fictitious districts."

The MACD is presently offering a bullish signal because it is above the signal line, a 9 day moving average, and higher than 0, which means that the underlying moving averages are trending higher.
The Stochastic Oscillator is registering a strong bullish signal as the %K has crossed above the %D and the oscillator recently moved above the critical value of 20 and is no longer oversold.
The On Balance Volume indicator (OBV) presently offers a bullish signal.

Teseq Inc., a leading developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, now offers two new USB / RS232 electric field probes.
The PMM EP-600 and EP-601 active broadband field probes benefit from a true spherical symmetrical dipole configuration.
Sampling at a rate of 22 S/s to 0.03 S/s depending on filter settings, the probes' 6 monopole sensors sample data simultaneously on an X-Y-Z axis.

While researching a paper in the library, I was struck by a memory of finding a book in my elementary school's library by searching for its location in a card index.
Just what a card index was is beyond the grasp of my feeble memory, but the thought of not being able to type in a general description of what I'm looking for and having hundreds of related books, articles and sources regurgitated by the magnificent machine in front of me is terrifying.
I was in front of that card index only 12 years ago.

The electromagnetic coupling between cable bundles and their environment represents a very important and challenging class of EMC problems.
For instance, consider the problem of a radiating source coupling to complex cable bundles mounted inside a car, truck, or bus.
In such a case, the coupling is determined by the whole geometry of the vehicle, consequently a full-wave analysis of the vehicle as a whole is required.

Avago Technologies says its ACPL-M50L single channel optocoupler operates on approximately 80 percent less drive current than today's standard 1MBd digital optocouplers.
Available in a small outline-5 (SO-5) package size, Avago's ACPL-M50L high speed digital optocoupler supports a wide supply voltage range from 2.7 to 24-volts and is driven by low forward drive current (IF > 3mA) with a high current transfer ratio (CTR > 80 percent min.) to allow direct drive from a microcontroller with
